Celebrating with us
Commemorating life events in church
It’s often important to recognise and mark a key milestones on our journey through life and faith, and to give thanks to God. Whether this is celebrating a significant wedding anniversary or remembering the life of someone we’ve loved and lost, we can walk along side you and help you hold a meaningful and personal service.
Renewal of Vows
Some couples, when they reach special anniversaries of married life together, think about renewing their vows in a service with family and friends or celebrating the occasion within a Sunday morning service. We recognise that married life has highs and lows, and couples can go through tough times. The vows made before God of ‘for better or worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer’ can ring true. Often it is only by the grace of God that marriages have withstood the test of time and we would love to celebrate that with you. If this is something you are thinking about then get in touch!
A service of remembrance for loved one can be an opportunity to give thanks for their life and to invite those who were unable to attend the funeral. This is especially poignant following the season of lockdowns that restricted funerals to very small numbers and limited travel. Some of our churches hold annual memorial services for bereaved people, offering a chance to reflect and pray or light a candle of remembrance. Get in touch with us to find out when and where the next one is taking place.
