Treslothan lent course 2026

We will meet in the Village Hall on six consecutive Thursday evenings from 7.30pm, starting on Thursday, 19 February then 26 Feb, 5, 12, 19 & 26 March. Each session will close with tea, coffee and cake/biscuits and will finish promptly at 9pm.

At the beginning of John’s Gospel, Jesus invites the disciples to “come and see” in response to their question about where he is staying. The two disciples follow Jesus back to his home and spend the rest of the day with him. We don’t know what they talked about, but whatever it was, it was enough to convince the disciple Andrew, that Jesus was the promised Messiah. He went and said to his brother Simon, “Come and see who we have met”.

It will help if we can attend all the sessions, but please come to as many as possible, even if you can’t make them all. This is not an academic course, nor is it Biblical analysis or anything like that, and it’s certainly not a test! It’s an opportunity to get to know Jesus better by spending time in his presence.

There is a course book which will be available to purchase at the discounted price of £9, but again, please don’t let this prevent you from joining the course. We will ensure that you can take part whether or not you have a copy of the book.
