Anna Chaplain – the spiritual welfare of older people.

Archdeacon Paul will be commissioning 2 new Anna Chaplains to serve in the areas of Camborne and Illogan. They will be the first 2 Anna Chaplains in Truro Diocese!
Anna Chaplains are there for people of strong, little or no faith at all. They promote the spiritual welfare of older people in the wider community, particularly the lonely, the isolated and those facing challenges living independently. They may be able to offer spiritual support to older people who are living in care homes and sheltered housing complexes, their relatives and staff who look after them.
They are named after the widow, Anna, who present when the infant Jesus is presented in the Temple. She is a good role model of faithful older people.
